Tamco Electrical Industries Australia (TEIA), incorporated in 1983, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tamco Corporte Holdings Berhad, Malaysia, a publicly listed company incorporated in 1965, which specialises in switchgear and associated power products.
TEIA manufactures the K80 Main Switchboard and Motor Control Centre.
TEIA offers full after sales services for their power products, including supervision of installation, testing and commissioning of medium and low voltage indoor switchgear.

Based in Dandenong, Victoria, Tamco Australia specialises in the manufacture and testing of high current LV main switchboards and motor control centres, and supplies a range of MV switchgear up to 36kV, along with ring main units and neutral earthing resistors.

Tamco Australia offers full after sales services, including supervision of installation, testing and commissioning. Our local service team, comprising experienced factory-trained technicians, possesses many years of experience in the factory assembly, testing and commissioning of medium voltage and low voltage switchgear.

The facilities of TEIA and its parent, Tamco Corporate Holdings, are accredited to ISO9001:2000 quality system certification, with engineering support for all products. This is provided both locally and abroad, by a team of highly skilled engineers and specialists.

Our facilities are state-of-the-art, and include a fit-for-purpose mobile service vehicle capable of being road transported to any location within Australia.

K80 LV MAIN SWITCHBOARD AND MOTOR CONTROL CENTRE

We manufacture the renowned K80 switchboard and motor control centre. The K80 is a proven performer, distributing electrical energy throughout many of the nation’s vital industrial and infrastructure installations. Performance is assured as Tamco’s K80 carries full ASTA test certification, meeting the stringent requirements of AS/NZS 3439.1:2002.

Available as high power MSB or a versatile MCC, the Tamco K80 has proven itself dependable throughout Australian and international installations.

K5000 LV MOTOR CONTROL CENTRE

With busbar rating up to 5,000A, and type tested to 100kA, the K5000 MCC sets the standard in LV motor control. Available in fixed, demountable, partially withdrawable and fully withdrawable, the K5000 MCC can comply with the most exacting specification.

Tamco’s VH range of indoor metalclad switchgear is available in single and double busbar configurations of up to 3150A and 31.5kA, is internally arc fault proven and is behind closed door operation. Utilising the latest VCB technology, the VH range is designed and tested to IEC standards in accredited international testing laboratories.

Having manufactured vacuum switchgear since the early 1980’s, Tamco has extended its product range to include Type GV3 and Type GV3D Gas Insulated Switchgear. This combines the superior insulation of SF6 gas with the reliability of vacuum switching. Features include:

    * 36kV rated voltage
    * 200kV peak impulse withstand voltage
    * Up to 2,500A normal current
    * 25 or 31.5kA, three seconds short circuit current
    * Single busbar (GV3) or double busbar (GV3D)
    * Designed to IEC 62271-200, 62271-100 and 60129
