Founded in 1991, Rocktec is an engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of quarrying and mining equipment, materials handling machinery and environmental waste solution products. Based in Matamata, New Zealand, Rocktec has an international dealer and distribution network that supplies its products to clients worldwide.

At Rocktec, clients set the challenge. If Rocktec’s proprietary product range does not suit particular requirements, the company will design, engineer and build the exact product or system needed for its client’s quarry, engineering or environmental problem.

Quarry and mining equipment

Rocktec manufactures a range of quarry and mining equipment designed to handle tough on-site conditions. Rocktec’s wheel washers, angled shaft impactors, impact crushers, scrubbers, screw dewaterers and feeders are highly engineered, fully supported products that utilise the latest technology to best advantage.

Heavy duty screens

Rocktec offers a range of heavy duty screens to suit any application. All screening products can be custom-designed to suit specific requirements. Standard features of Rocktec’s screens include:

In addition, the screens have a range of optional features, including wedge bolts, dust encapsulation, wash systems, rubber on infeed plate, decks to suit polyurethane and harp wire, special paint coatings, various drive options and special screens made to order.

Scalping screens

Rocktec manufactures a complete range of scalping screens, from a 6ft x 4ft heavy duty screen to a 16ft x 8ft double extra heavy duty screen. These screens are designed with bolt-on scalping bars, allowing for simple replacement and easy maintenance. All Rocktec scalping screens feature full wall armour plating and can be custom-designed to suit specific requirements.

Tertiary screening portable unit

The Rocktec tertiary screening portable unit features a patented lift-up chassis, up to five large stockpiles and sand dewatering. A simple hydraulic setup means jobs get started quicker - and a high-processing capacity means they get finished sooner. The patented lift-up chassis provides all the benefits of wheels on the road but none of the disadvantages of wheels on the rock. Once on-site, the operator can tilt the unit up so it is out of harm’s way.

Portable screening units

Rocktec’s portable screening units are designed to suit specific customer and site requirements and to integrate with existing plant where possible. Most are able to be designed to be road legal. Standard portable screen features include heavy duty construction, motor, belt and pulley, adjustable weights, clamp bars, crown rail rubber, infeed plate, inspection ports for easy changing, rubber flap for easy access, heavy duty subframe and easy access to all screen tension bolts.

Custom-designed portable screening units

Rocktec works closely with clients to provide units that incorporate customer-specific requirements or equipment.

Vibrating feeders

Rocktec provides vibrating feeders for professional quarry and recycling operations. They are available in seven standard lengths and widths, and in a variety of custom sizes.

The amplitude and motion of the vibrating feeders comes from large, twin-shaft eccentric heads that utilise extra large bearing assemblies designed to ensure long operating life and maintenance ease. The feeders are ideal for removing oversized rock and ore from feed material before primary crushing equipment. They are also well-suited for stand alone operation in scalping and screening applications.

Rocktec’s vibrating feeders are available in single or stepped deck configurations, in lengths ranging from 3ft to 7.5ft and widths ranging from 1,000in to 1,625in.
